Evolution and secular humanism have infiltrated our society and have captivated the minds of many in schools and in society as a whole. Many scientists, professors and teachers in major universities and college campuses, as well as, in research institutions and public schools teach evolution and/or secular humanism as if they are fact, but in reality, are nothing more than hypotheses. Some of these leaders in our education systems and society also assume that if a person doesn’t believe their models or ideas he is naive or uneducated and unable take science seriously. After all, how can science and religion coexist in a harmonious relationship? Or, how can there be absolute truth? Don’t all religions lead to the same place or ultimately believe the same thing?

Ken Ham, Mark Looy and Mike Zovath believe there are answers to all these difficult life questions in the Bible and have spent their lives providing solid answers with scientific backing. In 1993 they formed a ministry called Creation Science Ministries, but later changed their name to Answers in Genesis. Answers in Genesis exists to help answer difficult questions on how mankind, animals, stars, planets, and everything created came into existence from a Biblical worldview. They also help people understand the connection between science, God, absolute truth, the fall of man, and hope for mankind through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

Answers in Genesis is committed to reaching people for Christ through, web-based articles and information, radio programs broadcasting on over 800 radio stations, videos, magazines, monthly newsletter, apologetic speakers, the Creation Museum and other outreaches.

When the Creation Museum opened in May of 2007, it attracted nationwide publicity and beyond. According to the AiG website, “… Ken Ham was interviewed on FOX–TV’s The O’Reilly Factor and FOX and Friends in the morning, CNN’s Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer, ABC-TV’s Good Morning America (which did a live broadcast remote at the museum)…” God has truly blessed this ministry in the eyes of the world and is using it to reach millions for Christ!

Just this past weekend, I had a chance to visit the Creation Museum near Cincinnati, OH –  southwest of the city in Kentucky. It was an amazing experience to say the least. The Creation Museum sits on 50 beautiful acres a little west of the Cincinnati Airport. The museum and ministry offices boast an impressive 70,000 sq. ft. of building space and feature many creation exhibits, planetarium, various theaters, aquariums, fossils, a couple of food venues, brand new 1000 seat state of the art auditorium for lectures and conferences, gardens on the museum grounds, a petting zoo for all ages, video and audio recording/ editing studio and much more.

As I walked through the museum, I experienced high quality (even Disneyworld like) exhibits that engaged me at every turn. The information was profound and gave me solid answers to even the most difficult questions pertaining to life. It is a place for all ages ranging from toddler to the elderly alike – fascinating facts, high tech moving dinosaurs, hands on exhibits, a garden walk and petting zoo will keep even those proned to bordem occupied. One can even bring a friend or family member that is skeptical about Christianity or God because it provides very convincing evidence without being offensive to those who do not believe.

Mark Looy, one of the founders of Answers in Genesis, gave my parents and me a tour of the facilities and he sat down and talked with us about the ministry and other things of course. He mentioned AiG is planning to build a new theme park approximately 45 minutes from the Creation Museum. It will be called Ark Encounter based off the Biblical story of Noah’s Ark. AiG will recreate an exact replica of Noah’s Ark and build a town comparable to one of Noah’s day. AiG’s website predicts the theme park will be complete in the spring of 2014.

If you have questions about the Creation Museum or would like to visit, go to http://www.creationmuseum.org for information on pricing, days open and what you can expect while attending! This would be a great trip for any church group, youth group, college-age and post college ministry.
